Research
I joined the History of Parliament in September 2009 and am currently working on constituency and biographical entries for the 1832-1868 period, beginning with the midlands and the north-east.

My particular research interests include party organisation, the election campaigns of independent radicals, and how the idea of American party organisation was interpreted by British politicians and the press.
