Biography

In 1411 Bolter and his wife Alice conveyed to William Seeke, chaplain, a certain plot of land at Horsham containing an ‘acquaecadium scilicet waterfall’. Reference to more land and a house belonging to Bolter was made in another deed, dated 1425. By 1447 his widow Joan had acquired a life interest in a tenement and garden in the town, which was to revert after her death to William Bolter, probably Thomas’s son.2
