Biography

Henry was presumably related to Stephen† and Maurice de la Chamber*, who represented Warwick in other Parliaments of Richard II’s reign. He was in the service of the lord of the borough, Thomas, earl of Warwick, and may have been the same person as Henry Trymenell*, a valet of the earl’s chamber who sat for the borough three times in the same period. In the summer of 1397, at the time of Earl Thomas’s arrest, de la Chamber was engaged in transactions over supplies of barley, peas and oats grown on the earl’s estates. He evidently continued in the service of Earl Thomas’s successor, Richard, for in 1408-9 he collected rents in London on his behalf.
