Biography

It may have been this John Cook who acted as a juror in September 1388 and March 1392 at inquiries held at Bridgnorth into a grant to St. Leonard’s church and regarding the administration of the chapel in Bridgnorth castle.1 At the parliamentary elections of 1406 he went surety for the appearance of Walter Green I. On the occasion of his own return in the following year he was described as a vintner and burgess of Bridgnorth.2
