Biography
Fleming was assessed for the poll tax of 1377 (of which he himself was a collector) as living in Rochester. At the assizes held at Maidstone in February 1379 he was fined for forcibly dispossessing a certain London citizen of a plot of land in Rochester. In July 1391 he went surety that Henry Horne* would keep the peace; and in the following year he joined John Sheldwich I* of Canterbury and others in acquiring two royal licences to make grants of property in Faversham and elsewhere in east Kent and in London to Christ Church priory. He is last recorded, as a witness at Rochester, in March 1394.
