Biography

Although nothing is definitely known about Goldsmith, it seems likely that he was a local man. A Reynold Goldsmith was living in Derby in 1393 and another Thomas, described as a yeoman of Derby, was to be impeached for trespass before the sheriff of Derbyshire in 1446.
