Biography

At some unknown date during the 15th century a John Hendley of Northampton and his wife Isabel were admitted as members of the influential guild of the Holy Trinity in Coventry, and it may well be that this reference concerns the MP. His career is otherwise virtually undocumented, although during his term as bailiff of Northampton he was called upon to witness various local deeds, including a conveyance of the neighbouring manor of Drayton.
