Shortly after representing Leominster in Parliament, White witnessed conveyances of lands at Stoke Edith, Herefordshire, belonging to (Sir) Leonard Hakluyt*. Since he was engaged in the local cloth industry, it may well have been he, described, however, as citizen of London, who on 1 Dec. 14I5 was appointed alnager in Shropshire for 20 years, only for him to relinquish office in February 1424 following the recognition of a claim to prior appointment in favour of Edmund Morris*. White attended the parliamentary election held at Leominster in 1417.
