Biography

During the 1540s and 50s Howell was repeatedly sued in Chancery over his commercial ventures and title to property. He was also involved in litigation in the Pembrokeshire great sessions, and in July 1554 brought an action of debt against John Adams. There is no record of his death and no will or inquisition survives: he is last known to have been alive in 1569.3
