Biography

Connock was a tanner, who owned the manor of Hagland as well as a town house at Moncton’s Corner, Liskeard. ‘A common quarreller, railer and perturber’, he received a grant of arms in March 1577, died ‘very aged’ during his fourth term as mayor of Liskeard, and was succeeded by his son John.
