Biography

Cosworth, returned to Parliament for Mitchell by favour of the Arundell family, into which his younger brother Edward had married, was one of those who signed and sealed for Cornwall the instrument of association for the preservation of the Queen’s person. He was removed from the commission of the peace in 1587, after his bishop had reported that though of a good disposition, he could not carry his drink. He died intestate, administration being granted to his brother Michael 2 June 1590.3
