Biography

Davidge represented Taunton as a local gentleman. As Member for Taunton, he was eligible to attend two committees concerning cloth on 15 Mar. and 23 Mar. 1593. He was an overseer of the poor there, and sidesman of the church of St. James. His will, made 6 Nov. 1628 and proved 3 Feb. 1629, shows he was comfortably off. He left £20 to his daughter Elizabeth, wife of William Prideaux, and bequeathed £100 apiece to six other daughters. He was succeeded by his son John.
