Biography

This Member called himself ‘Rowland Witnall alias Eles’, the entry in the printed Return of Members presumably being a misreading of the second variant as written on the actual election return. In his will, made 20 Mar. and proved 8 Apr. 1595, he mentioned the ‘most holy, blessed and undivided Trinity’, asked to be buried in the church of Wycombe, and provided small sums towards the repair of the church and the poor of the parish. His brother ‘Robert Wytnall alias Ellis’ was sole executor.
