Biography

The ‘John Younge, gent.’ who represented Marlborough in the first Parliament of this period has been assumed to be the John Young, who, by October 1555, was keeping a tavern in Marlborough. Early in Elizabeth’s reign he and his wife Margaret sold a house in the borough.
