Biography

Twice returned unopposed for Plymouth on the Admiralty interest, Byng voted consistently with the Government, speaking against a place bill, 22 Apr. 1735. He vacated his seat on being appointed governor of Barbados, where he was buried, 7 Oct. 1740.
