Biography

Copleston was a trustee of the estate of Samuel Rolle,1 whom he succeeded at Callington. A placeman, he voted with the Administration in every recorded division, except that on the Hanoverians in 1742, from which he was absent. In the Cockpit list of October 1742 he is put down under Sir William Yonge. He died 19 Feb. 1748.
