Biography

Thomas Leveson Gower was returned unopposed as a Tory on his family’s interest. In May 1725 he was chosen a member of the committee ‘to manage the evidence against Thomas, Earl of Macclesfield’,1 the former lord chancellor, who was being impeached for corruption.

He died 12 Aug. 1727.
