Biography

Charles Finch sat for Castle Rising on the interest of his cousin, Lord Suffolk; and on his brother’s succeeding to the peerage vacated his seat to contest Maidstone. He was a regular Government supporter, voting with them in every division for which a list is available. There is no record of his having spoken in the House. In 1780 he was defeated at Maidstone, and is not known to have stood again.

He died 17 Dec. 1819.
