Biography

Returned for Hythe by the Duke of Dorset, Glanville voted regularly with Administration. Little is known of him after 1754, and he appears in no division list after 1761. In 1761 he was included by Newcastle among those to whom the whip was to be sent, but without indicating through whom it was to go; does not appear in Fox’s list of Members favourable to the peace preliminaries; and was classed ‘doubtful’ by Rockingham in July 1765.  He died 19 Oct. 1766.
