(1) 10 Jan. 1764, Grace (d. 23 Nov. 1777), da. of John Ayscough of Jamaica, 7s. 5da.; (2) 1783, Eleanor, da. of Edward Poore. His niece, Anne Buckley Batson, m. 1778 Henry Fane of Fulbeck.

Biography

In 1780 Michel contested Lyme Regis on the Fane interest. After a double return the election was declared void, but Michel was returned at a second election in December. In Parliament, like his fellow Member Henry Fane, he supported the North Administration till its fall; voted against Shelburne’s peace preliminaries, 18 Feb. 1783, and in Robinson’s list of January 1784 and Stockdale’s of 19 Mar. is classed as an opponent of Pitt. There is no report of his having spoken in the House. He did not stand again in 1784.

He died March 1805.
