Biography

Satterthwaite entered the House as the nominee of Lord Lonsdale, and followed Lonsdale’s line in politics: at first supporting Pitt (but not on parliamentary reform), but in opposition during the Regency crisis. He took no part in debate in his first Parliament. He was active in local affairs and in support of Lonsdale’s parliamentary interest in Cumberland.

He died probably in 1818.1
