Biography

In 1784 Sotheron successfully contested Pontefract on the householder interest. In William Adam’s list of May 1784 he was classed as ‘doubtful’. His only recorded votes were with Pitt on the Regency, 1788-9. There is no report of his having spoken in the House before 1790.

He died 31 Jan. 1806.
