Biography

Farmer owed his return to the Earl of Sandwich, his father allegedly paying pound;4,000 for his seat. In 1809 he made way for the latter. Although there is no direct evidence, Farmer was almost certainly a supporter of administration, like his parent and his patron. Like his father, he was an East India Company stockholder. He died v.p. in October 1836.
