Biography

Tatton joined his father in Parliament on being returned unopposed for Beverley in 1796. His father had not succeeded there in 1790 but he benefited from the support not only of his uncle Sir Christopher Sykes^†, 2nd Bt., but also of Lord Yarborough. If he supported Pitt’s administration, as expected, it was in silence. He died v.p. 9 Feb. 1799.
