Biography

The Peytos had been prominent in Warwickshire since the thirteenth century and had acquired the Chesterton estate by marriage in 1341. Peyto’s soundness as a Tory was vouched for in 1715 by his kinsman, the Jacobite Lord Willoughby de Broke, in the same way as that of Andrew Archer had been by William Bromley<
